Waitaki B.H.S. chosen
Waitaki Boys' High School, of Oamaru. has been chosen as the southern zone representative for the first national secondary schools rugby tournament next month. The other three teams for the semi-finals in Auckland on August 13 are Mt Albert Grammar (Auckland). Western Heights High Schoo] (Rotorua) and Rathkeale College (Masterton). The four schools, all of which have unbeaten first XV's this year, were selected by the regional secretaries oi the New Zealand Secondary Schools Rugby Council, A tournament to find the country's best first XV has been made possible by sponsorship from Lemon and Paeroa. The final will be played in Auckland on August 15, with the beaten semi-finalists playing for third and fourth.
