Good start by Colts
The Canterbury Colts rugby team began its programme on a sound note when it beat South Canterbury Colts, 20-6, at Timaru. Canterbury scored five tries to none, the scorers being Robert Moffat, who had a particularly good game at No. 8, Andrew Cartwright, Craig Pullar, Kieran Flynn and John Buchan.
All the tries were scored wide out, which partly explains the absence of any conversions.
