PA Dunedin -■ The president of the New Zealand Trotting. Conference, Sir James Barnes, was reelected in Dunedin yesterday. However, the votes of five clubs — Amberley, Hawera, Rotorua. Tuapeka, and Manukau — were not recorded in voting for the' executive because voting papers in four cases were returned too late, and none came from Manukau. Mr Charlie Elliott was elected the North Island vice-president after defeating Mr Noel Taylor 33 votes

to 20. Mr George Kelly is the South Island vice-president. Mr Bob Dayne (Greymouth) and Mr Jack Knight (Franklin) were elected to the executive, Mr Colin Baynes, of Gore, was reelected to the executive. Mr Laurie Rutherford retired after 13 years on the Executive and Mr Gordon Blaxall, the treasurer for 11 years, lost his place. Other members of the executive are Messrs Lionel August, ' Les Woods, Goff MacDonald, Bruce Woods, Dr lan McKay, Jack Phillips, and Ron Hanford.
