Schoolboy killed crossing road

PA Auckland A schoolboy died when he was struck by a northbound car as he crossed State highway 1. near Te Kauwhata, on Monday. He was Colin Campbell, aged 12. of Te Pahu. A Waihi woman who was knocked unconscious when she fell from a tractor on July 7, died in an ambulance taking her to Auckland Hospital at the week-end. She was Clara Mavis McKinney, aged 68, of Waihi. The police said Mrs McKinney suffered amnesia for two hours after regaining consciousness on July 7 and suffered increasing headaches until losing consciousness last Saturday. She was sent to Auckland Hospital and met en route by an ambulance life support unit, which was used to resuscitate her but she was subsequently pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. A man who was struck by a car as he was crossing Torino Street, Point England, Auckland. 10 days ago, has died in Middlemore Hospital. He was Hilton Graham Nisbett, aged 59. a water serviceman, of Panmure. The police said Mr Nisbett was admitted to Middlemore Hospital on July 3 after suffering cuts to the head and a dislocated elbow in the accident.
