Coastal Trader’s clutch fixed

Routine maintenance work on the .clutch of the Shipping Corporation's Coastal Trader has forced her to berth at No. 2 East " instead of her usual spot at Gladstone Pier. ■'» The work has meant she will not make her regular sailing to Dunedin this week. South-bound goods she would have carried left for Port Chalmers last evening on the Union Steam Ship Company's Union Lyttelton. ; The Coastal Trader is such a regular caller at port that port ..watchers can normally set their clocks by her. She usually arrives from Auckland'every Monday morning and sails* for Dunedin later in the day. She then returns on Wednesday, '.Loads her cargo, and sails .'for Auckland the same day. ■ If. she is delayed it is usually only because she has struck bad weather or because of industrial actioh. ; ‘ , A. Shipping Corporation ■ spokesman said yesterday that the clutch had been repaired, and ;the /vessel would return to her 'normal ruh next week. ¥ The: next interruption to her wbuld probably be early next.year when she would into, idry dock for a routine survey, he said, • ' ‘ '• ' .■ g" The - Coastal Trader is scheduled to bunker at the oil swha’tf today before sailing for ’Auckland. ’ ARRIVALS ; Nedlloyd Adelaide (6:30 a.m'.) • Asia, 7282 (Guthrey).
