Sir,—Christopher Ehrhardt’s personal attacks on Pat Wilkinson illustrate why people become unwilling to speak out on controversial issues. The issue is lost and the argument reduced to personalities. How anyone who advocates freedom of choice can be labelled intolerant is beyond my comprehension.—Yours, etc., JAN ANDREWS. July 3, 1982.
