Alwena Pegg home
Alwena Pegg is home from hospital and her parents could not be happier. “I don’t even know what day it is. She is home and that’s all that matters,” her mother, Mrs : Alwena .Pegg, said yesterday. The Naenae girl, who suffers from a rare form of epilepsy, was admitted to Hutt Hospital three weeks ago after a recurrence of epileptic seizures. She was put on toxic levels of anti-convulsant drugs and sedatives, which have gradually been reduced to the lowest possible level which will prevent the seizures. Last October, with donations from people all over New Zealand, Alwena Pegg was flown to Montreal for surgery that doctors hoped would stop the seizures.
