Guitarist found dead
James Honeyman Scott, a guitarist with the rOck group The Pretenders; has been found dead in London, said a spokesman for Warner Bros Records. “He was found at a friend's apartment in London. He apparently died in his sleep.” said Warner spokesman, Mr Bob Merlis, in Los Angeles. He said an autopsy was planned to determine the cause of death. Mr Scott, aged 25, was lead guitarist and also played keyboard instruments and sang for the four-member group, which toured New Zealand last year. A former guitar salesman from Hereford, England, he joined the group in 1978 when it was formed.—Los Angeles.
