Oil wharf busy
Lyttelton’s oil wharf has been busy over the last five days. Since Saturday three oil tankers and one chemical tanker have called at the wharf, and another chemical tanker, the Stolt Span, is due tomorrow. The first tanker to call was the 21.600-ton Carla A. Hills, which arrived at port on Saturday carrying oil products from Bahrain. Then the oil tanker Kotuku arrived from Marsden Point on Sunday, and that was followed on Monday by the chemical tanker Anco Enterprise which had sailed from Timaru. Yesterday saw the arrival of another oil tanker from Marsden .Point, the Erne, and the Stolt Span is scheduled to arrive at port tomorrow. ARRIVALS Erne (7 a m.) 13,728, Marsden Point (U.M.S.).
