Booming in Australia
Indoor competitive cricket on- a regular basis may be comparatively new’ to Christchurch, but it is well-estab-lished in Australia. In Perth, indoor cricket started in 1977. In Brisbane, one of two centres reported last month that it was handling about 500 players a week. Similar centres are likely to be opened at several other Australian cities, and there are prospects of inter-club and inter-state fixtures being arranged.
