PA Auckland Oakley Hospital staff assert that an organised camEof misinformation is directed at the hospital They are alarmed about the "concentration camp" image the alleged campaign is giving the hospital. Staff members yesterday formed an education committee to tell the public "what Oakley is about.” The co-ordinator of the committee, a staff nurse, Mr David Adams, said that in future any statements directed against the hospital would be scrutinised for pos-
sible legal action. Staff members would engage a lawyer to protect the interests of the hospital. “As individuals, we feel threatened really. Friends and relatives want to know what we are doing there. The implication is that we are
running some kind of concentration camp," Mr Adams said. He said that the committee would have a public relations role. The 100 or sc staff at the hospital had already received support from the patients.
