Student work scheme
Sir,—Mr Wellington has fully lived up to the expectations we had of him. The penultimate bursary scheme showed promise, but this . . education as you would want it — white, male, wealthy and mature. After all, a degree would surely confuse those from lower ihcome groups and thus upset the stability of our social pattern. Demolishing the holiday work scheme will surely prepare them for the rigours of unemployment in the near future.—Yours, etc.. Ms S. ROBINS, Ms S. COCKS. June 3, 1982.
