Kiwi holes in one
Jim White, a former New Zealand rugby league loose forward, attained a sporting milestone of a different kind this week.
A member of the 1965 Kiwi side which toured Britain and France — as was his brother, Pat — Jim White
has in more recent years proved himself to be a more than useful golfer. He plays off a single-figure handicap. This week he gained a
hole-in-one at the twelfth green of his home course, Waitikiri, the first time that he had achieved such a feat.
