Free films on running
The Nike City of Christchurch marathon running “festival week-end” will begin tomorrow when free films will be shown continuously from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the former Air New Zealand office next to the Canterbury Savings Bank in Colombo Street, just south of Cathedral Square. The films will include last year’s Honolulu marathon, a
;- film about Peter Snell, and a g film featuring some of New !- Zealand’s great runners. The e programme lasts for two i- hours. The festival will i. resume on Saturday with a i- sports medicine forum and i- pasta evening at the Univern sity of Canterbury and the f running of the marathon on Sunday morning. It will end t with the prizegiving social on a Sundayevening.
