Japan top buyer of N.Z. wool
PA Wellington Japan was the top customer for New Zealand wool in the first eight months of the present season, taking 18.020 tonnes clean, says the Wool • Board. Others in the top 10 were: the U.S.S.R. (17,744 tonnes), China (16.032). Britain ’(15,665), France (10.231), the Netherlands (9546), Italy (7799), West Germany (7738), Iran (6563) and Australia (6369)? At the corresponding time last year. China was the top customer, followed by the U.S.S.R., Britain. Japan, the •Netherlands, France. Iran, West Germany, the United States, and Italy.
