PA Wellington New Zealand's trade ban with Argentina could cost 600 jobs, according to Massey University’s head of economics, Professor- P. van Moeseke. . •
New Zealand cut trade ties with Argentina after Argentina’s occupation of the Falkland Islands.
Professor van Moeseke told members of the Palmerston North Rotary Club yesterday that the loss . of every $1 million in exports implied the loss of about 100. jobs.
New Zealand exported goods valued at $6 million to Argentina in the year to June 30. 1981.
