Horticulture fair

Fifty trade exhibitors will be displaying the latest in horticultural equipment, machinery, and sprays at the South Island Horticultural Fair at the Addington Show Grounds tomorrow and Thursday. Exhibitors from Auckland,. Palmerston North, Hamilton, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Invercargill will be taking part.

A seminar of speakers dealing with different crops is also planned for Thursday. The intention is to promote horticulture. The organisers of the fair had gone to great lengths to dispel the idea that “New Zealand finishes at Hamilton” as far as new products were concerned, said the April issue of the “Canterbury Growers’ Review.”
