Advertisement Pacific Island stamps
With winter weather now approaching — or already here — many people are thinking wistfully of the sunny tropic paradises north of New Zealand. The stamps of the Pacific Islands have long been very popular with collectors. They show the peoples, history, birds, fish and flora of the Islands in gorgeous colour, and at present the cost of most of them is within the pockets of many collectors, though some have risen sharply in value in recent years, such as Norfolk, Nauru, Pitcairn and Tokelaus to name a few. A display of many 100’s of Island stamps for, sale can now be seen at Laurie Franks, Ltd, 165 Cashel Street (near Manchester Street). There are mint and used, attractive Miniature Sheets, and unusual covers. Call now and see this display. You will not be asked to buy — but you will find it hard not to as many are priced at below half Stanley Gibbons current catalogue values.
