Inquiry postponed

PA Wellington An inquiry to determine the sire of the good jumper, Diprose, has been postponed. Scheduled for Thursday/ the hearing has been postponed to probably mid-May, the secretary-manager of the Racing Conference, Mr Hafford Poland said yesterday. The studmaster of Balcarres, near Matamata, Mr Jack Lindsay has been charged under rule 109 of the Rules of Racing. However, Mr Lindsay has had health problems and Mr Poland said the hearing will be held when he is deemed medically fit to appear in Wellington. The rule under inquiry reads: “Every person who in, or in connection with, any application for registration of. a horse, wilfully gives or causes to be given, or is knowingly a party to the giving of any false or misleading information or particulars may be’ disqualified at any time by the Executive Committee and the horse in

respect of which such offence has been committed may also be disqualified.” Diprose, in the New Zealand Studbook, is being listed as by Kazakstaan out of Glamour Countess. At the time Kazakstaan stood alongside Rangong, Smuggler and Zephyr Bay at Balcarres.
