No Sinai extension request
PA Wellington New Zealand has received no request to keep its contingent to the Sinai peacekeeping force there longer than two years. Senior Australian Government sources said that such a request had been put to the Australians, who' also have troops in the Sinai, but a Government spokesman in Wellington said N,ew Zealand had heard nothing so far. However, it was believed that the agreement by which New Zealand committed forces to the Sinai had a provision allowing them to stay longer by mutual consent, if required.,. .
