D. Crozier suspended

The Riccarton apprentice. D. Crozier, was suspended up till and including April 17. two effective riding days, by the Canterbury Jockey Club's judicial committee at Riccarton vesterdav.

Crozier, the rider of Flying View in the Coruba Rum Great Easter Handicap, was found guilty of causing interference 'to Shardak (R. Bruce) in the run home.

Flying View was subsequently relegated from second to fourth and Cedar Key was promoted from third to second and Shardak from fourth to third.

The Hastings jockey. J. Cassidy, was questioned regarding the performance of his mount, Orchidra, in the 3ZB Easter Classic. The Woodville-trained mare, after being handy till the home turn, faded' to finish eighth. Cassidy’s explanation that Orchidra was never at ease in the conditions was accepted.
