Regimental chaplaincy
The retired Dean of Christchurch, the Very Rev. Michael Underhill, has been appointed chaplain-comman-dant of the Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment. His duties include responsibility for other army chaplains, and fostering loyalty and a sense of community among enlisted men. His appointment took effect on January 7 but his first formal duty will be to bless the new Army chapel at Linton Military Camp. It will be named after St Barbara. the patron saint of the Ordnance Corps.
