Joyce complaint lodged
. An official complaint, was lodged yesterday with the Canterbury centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association over' the action of Brenton Joyce in not wearing the Big M insignia in last Saturday’s 10.000 m road race in Christchurch. The complaint was lodged by Mrs Christine Burden, the organiser of the race, on behalf of. the University of Canterbury Cross-Country Club and the University of Canterbury Amateur Athletic Club. In a letter to the centre. Mrs Burden said that Joyce “flagrantly ignored” the race regulations. “We ask the centre to take disciplinary action against Mr Joyce’ for deliberately breaking the race regulations and bringing the race sponsors. the University clubs, and two officials into disrepute,” she said.
