Public Service superannuation
Sir,—Replying to T. Duston’s letter (March 11) which supports by implication the illinformed Gill Hoskins, readers may be aware of a press release from the chairman of the State Services Commission in rebuttal. To quote: “The highest allowance that could be paid to someone who retired at 60 on $15,000 after 40 years service is $6700.” That is a far cry from $lO,OOO (excluding the Muldoon hand-out). — Yours, etc KEN MARTIN. March 14, 1982.
