Incentive for jockeys
PA Palmerston North A $lO,OOO prize could be won by the leading jockey at the Manawatu Racing Club’s meeting on March 20 and 27. The jockey, or apprentice, who rides six winners or more over the two days receives the prize, which is sponsored by Newmans Coach Lines. In the event of no rider succeeding, Newmans will give a trophy valued at $250 to the leading rider at the meeting. ________
