South Africa and Games
Sir, — Again we see the ugly head of apartheid being raised by politicians and fed the poison of. ignorance by do- ; gooders and opportunists. I say ‘again. as I have said so often before: get all influence of
politics out of sport. The problem will, in a better manner and shorter’ time, solve itself if left to our natural and greatest ambassadors, the sportsmen themselves. Complete integration, especially in schools — children, without interference will solve this problem in a better manner and have more secure results. It is the world’s problem that I write of. — Yours, etc., A. W. ERICSON. March 4. 1982.
