Shooting ‘accidental’
A preliminary report that the shooting of a youth by a police revolver at Kurow last week was accidental has been backed up by medical reports and by the person shot.
Detective Chief Inspector E. T. Mitten, of the Christchurch C. 1.8., concluded in his report that the shooting was accidental and said this had been substantiated by both the person shot and medical reports. The report will be forwarded to the Deputy Police Commissioner (Mr K. 0. Thompson), who will decide if anv action will be taken.
