Dodson world champion
NZPA Melbourne .{The New Zealand OK Dinghy skipper, Richard Dodson, aged 23, was yesterday declared the 1982 world champion in Melbourne after ttje abandonment of the last two races because of gale force weather. Dodson, sailing One Way or.’ Another won the series with only three points lost,
34.4 points ahead of his nearest rival, Last Change (Stefan Jarudd, Sweden). The third placing in the championship went to the Australian title holder, Cookie Monster (Peter Takle). with 41 points. Shotgun, sailed by Greg Knowles of New Zealand, won the trophy for the junior championship.
