Lennon home sold
NZPA-Reuter Liverpool The house where Beatle John Lennon lived as a child has been sold for barely a third of the price it was
advertised to Americans. A young local couple bought the modest working-class brick house for $38,280. An estate agent, Bevan Maples, said a British businessman tried to sell the house- for $116,000 in the United States but got no offers. Lennon, one of four Liverpool-bom youngsters who formed the Beatles, was murdered in New York in 1980.
