McDonalds Cup cricket
NZPA Sydney Queensland retained the McDonalds Cup with a 27 run win over New South Wales at the Sydney Cricket Ground yester-. day. New South Wales chasing the 224 runs made by Queensland in 47 overs were all out for 197 at
5.25 p.m. yesterday after’ 44.4 overs. The chief destroyer of the New South Wales batting , was the retiring Queensland cricket skipper, Geoff Dymock, who took five wickets for 27 from 8.4 overs in a farewell appearance. A Queensland batsman, Wayne Broad; who made 85 was voted player of the match.
