Winners
“Double Fantasy,” by John Lennon and Yok'o Ono, and "Bette Davis’ Eyes,” by Kim Carnes won best album (surprise, surprise) and best single awards respectively at the 24th annual Grammy (yawn) awards in Hollywood last week. The biggest winner at the nationally televised show was producer and composer Quincy Jones, who went home with five Grammy awards. Dolly Parton, The Police, Manahattan Transfer, Mike Post (composer of “Hill Street Blues”), and Al Jarreau won two each. EMl’s tailor-made “Modern Girl,” Sheena Easton, was named as the best new artist.
