Academic honour for Sneddon
PA Auckland The New Zealand cricketer Martin Sneddon, became a lawyer yesterday, but he hopes his first appeal will be against the Australians at Eden Park today. The Auckland fast bowler was excused from team practice yesterday so his father, Mr Warwick Sneddon, could move his admission to the legal bar at the High Court. Yesterday's legal ceremony and today’s one-day international against Australia are a continuation of Sneddon family tradition. Martin’s grandfather, father, brother and cousin have all been lawyers and his grandfather and uncle also played cricket for New Zealand.
