Petition for Hornby dismissal
About 1200 “upset" Hornby residents have signed a petition calling for the dismissal of the Hornby Licensing Trust Board.
The residents allege that the board has failed to direct its profits in a communityminded manner.
One of the petition’s organisers, Mr A. S. Malcolm, said that the response had been amazing. “I have been reprimanded by residents for not bringing the petition around earlier,” Mr Malcolm said yesterday. The organisers intend to seek an interview with the Minister of Justice (Mr McLay) to present the petition personally. “But we will keep on collecting names for a few weeks yet though.”
