Gundog trial results
Scenting conditions were ideal for the Canterbury Gundog Club’s first trial for 1982 which was held at Greennark. K. Mattson’s labrador Mandy won the open event. She trailed by three points on the water, but gave an almost perfect run on the land to win by three points. Results:— Open (judges: land, G. Clarke; water, W. Streeter).—K. Mattson, labrador, 188 points, 1; D- Adams, labrador, 185, 2; N. Frith, labrador, 175, 3. Limit land (judge: R. Chalmers).—J. Templeton, golden retriever. 79 points, 1: W. Streeter, labrador, 78, 2; D. Cooke, labrador, 69, 3. Limit water (judge: W. Donaldson).—W. Streeter, labrador, 87 points. 1; I. Wilda. weimaraner, 84. 2; T. Finch, golden retriever. 80. 3. Novice land (judge: L. Diggs).—S. Gallagher, labrador, 92 points, 1; M. Dobson, golden retriever, 90, 2; W. Donaldson, labrador. 87, 3. Novice water (judge K. May).—J. Wise, curly coated retriever. 98 points, 1; L. Frith, labrador, 97, 2; S. Gallagher, labrador, 95. 3. Puppy land (judge: K. Mattson).—M. Dobson, golden retriever, 93 points, 1; E.
