Carter leads cricket points
Few changes in the top line-up were apparent in the Lion “player of the day" competition associated with the A.N.Z. Bank senior cricket competition on Sunday... Bob Carter. Canterbury’s batting star in the Shell Cup final on Saturday, still has the lead after advancing his total to 887 points. The man with the next nest taiiy, David Trist, failed to take a
wicket or catch and did.not bat so remained on 817. Richard Hadlee, although he did not contest the round, stayed in third place, while Stead, who captured six wickets, moved past Vaughan Brown into the fourth spot Leading points. Carter 887, Trist 817, Hadlee 802, Stead 635. Brown 625. Garry Hooper 561 Justin Boyle 506.
