(5) FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS: Students enrolling at a New Zealand University for the first time MUST bring with them evidence, in writing, that they have—(l) Obtained the New Zealand University Entrance Certificate, or (2) Been granted admission "ad eundem” by the University Grants Committee, or (3) Been granted admission “ad eundem’’ by the University of Canterbury, or (4) Been granted “special admission" by the University of Canterbury. Also, if applying for a bursary: (5) Obtained Higher School Certificate, or (6) Obtained Sixth Form Certificate, or (7) Obtained Bursary or Scholarship examinations. (6) TRANSFERS FROM ANOTHER NEW ZEALAND UNIVERSITY: The enrolment of such students is provisional until their records are received from their previous University by the Registrar and found to be satisfactory. Students who have been declined enrolment in a previous University, or in any Department or Faculty of that University, or who are automatically debarred from re-enrolling, will not be enrolled at the University of Canterbury (Page 33, 1982 University Calendar).
