Gold slides to $370
PA New York Gold fell $5.70 a troy ounce to $370 in contracts for current delivery on the commodity exchange in New York. In later New York trading Republic National Bank quoted gold at $370.50, down $5 from late Monday. A New York gold trader said that with interest rates remaining high, “gold is doing a lot of nothing.” Yesterday he noted, “It just cancelled its gain of yesterday” of $5.
