Identity parade
Sir,—lt was a relief to read in “The Press” this morning that the Police Association secretary pronounced the recent Red Squad identity parade “a nonsense.” Perhaps justice is not dead, only sleeping. Reading the “New Zealand Times” report of a witness of the brutal beating up of “the clowns" made me sick to the stomach. How could the police administration condone such a charade as the farcical identity parade? How can those innocent of involvement in the incident, but aware of the guilty parties, be silent now? — Yours, etc., JILL WILCOX. January 18. 1982.
