G.P. College head
Dr Selwyn Carson, of Christchurch, has been elected president of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners for two years. He succeeds Dr Peter Anyon, of Lower Hutt. Dr Carson graduated from the University of Otago in 1954. He has been a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners since 1960 and is a foundation member of the New Zealand college.
Between 1967 and 1969 he held executive offices in the Medical Association of New Zealand.
Dr Carson has a special interest in primary medical care and development of team work..
