Minister accused
The Israeli police are looking into allegations that the former Energy Minister, Yitzhak Modai, took illegal commissions on fuel purchases he made on behalf of the Government while in office, according to a police spokesman. Mr Modai, now a Minister without portfolio, denies the allegations. A police spokesman said investigators were “looking into allegations” but he emphasised that no formal investigation had started. — Tel Aviv.
