The early leader, Brenton Joyce (St Martins) is joined by a bunch of four runners on the uphill chase after the eventual winner, John Hellemans (New Brighton), in the annual King of the Mountains road race on the Port Hills of Christchurch on Saturday. Joyce finished second. Mike Johnstone (right), was fourth, Murray Dellow (middle), was ninth and John Gamblin (Ashburton), twelfth. The runner second from left is Greg Clark (St Martins), who was fifth.
