Grey Lynn fund closes
PA Auckland The Grey Lynn landslide appeal by the Mayor of Auckland, Mr Colin Kay, reached $38,955 yesterday as the fund neared its deadline. The money will help cover uninsured losses by families who lost homes and possessions in the slide below Herrinson Avenue two weeks ago. Mr Kay earlier estimated these losses at about $250,000. But he emphasised he was not setting any target for the appeal which closed last evening.
