AIR QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER (VACANCY NO. 2/12-157) A vavancy exists for a qualified engineer with licences endorsed for Fokker F 27, F2B and Boeing 707 aircraft. THE TASK: • Overall management of the Quality Assurance Department. • Develop and direct a system of surveillance and quality throughout the Engineering and Supply Departments in accordance with company maintenance instruction manuals. • Produce and amend company maintenance instruction manuals, in liaison with civil aviation authority. • Liaise with Manager Technical Services on matters regarding civil aviation orders and service bulletins. • Participate on accident/incident boards of enquiry. • Organize on-the-job training for quality assurance staff to ensure they are trained in the latest techniques. • Liaise with C.A.A. on matters pertaining to aircraft registration and certificates of airworthiness. Ensure that the Engineering Manager is kept informed on .significant matters affecting airworthiness. • Approve the issue of Certificates, and maintain a register of persons approved to conduct and certify for specific non-destructive testing. THE PERSON: • Should have had 15 years' experience in aircraft maintenance industry with minimum of 5 years supervisory/management positions and minimum of 3 years experience and quality assurance functions. The age range is 30 - 50 years.
