Canterbury, the province with the closest to a full team, comfortably won both sections of the South Island inter-provincial track cycling meeting at Timaru on Sunday: South Canterbury was the next-best represented province, Otago and Southland combining s their forces for the Italian pur-'' suit.' • ■ In the amateur section, Canterbury scored 59 points, to the; 25' of South Canterbury, Otago’s 16 — Bel Woodford being mainly responsible for those — . and Southland, in the form of Blenddyn Wills, getting four.
