General Election

Sir,—“Big thinking" is certainly overdue. It is time democracy was introduced to this country. Let us have pref erential voting. The four Maori seats must go. We are all New Zealanders with mouths to feed and shelter to provide. While we are on the job let us scrap the ludicrous liquor poll. It is farcical to contemplate being pushed around for yet another three years by a Government representing a minority of electors. Since I am too old to emigrate I suppose I will just have to practice the goose step.—Yours, etc., N. PALMER. December 3, 1981.
