Dr Craven’s gifts
Sir,—l, am pleased that the Customs Department caught up with the Rugby Union Officials on the good brought into New Zealand by Dr Craven and his associates, and how did they get past Customs? Dr Craven should be charged for not declaring these on arrival as most New Zealanders are charged on goods valued over $5O being brought over from Australia not being duty free goods. If these goods had been brought into and not declared they would have been confiscated as I understand it. — Yours, etc., S. C. LARKIN. November 19, 1981.
