Lusteroid profit up 22 p.c.
PA Auckland Lusteroid Holdings (N.Z.), Ltd, the Auckland-based paint and coating maker, earned a 21.8 per cent higher net profit of $307,000 in the six months to September 30. Interim dividend is being held at 10 per cent but is payable on December 16 on capital raised, by the recent one-for-five bonus issue. The tax-free interim requires $45,000 more than last year’s interim payment at $132,000. Sales for the half were 31.6 per cent higher at $4,775,000, and the profit was after a tax charge $47,000 greater at $252,000. It does not include any equity earnings. In the last March year Lusteroid increased earnings 35 per cent and held dividend at 20 per cent with bonus shares ranking for the 10 per cent final.
