Well known shoe store to close
BECAUSE of the expansion of suburban shoping and the opening of new arcades in the central area, the Managing Director of Pannell's Footwear, Ltd., Mr M. F, O'Brien has announced that he has decided to close the Company's Manchester Street Store; the firm has been in business for 106 years. During 1982 Pannells intend to reopen in a new shop closer to the centre of the city; the location will be advertised at the time of opening. ' In the meantime Pannell's closing-down sale will commence on Monday next. November 23 and will continue until their stock of over 3000 pairs of footwear has been sold at substantial price reductions.
