More chemical for rust control
Further supplies of chemical for the control of stripe rust in wheal reached Christchurch yesterday. Mr M. S. Moore, advisory and development manager of Baver New Zealand. Ltd. said that a further consignment of liquid chemical had been flown in from Australia. Some wettable powder had been brought io Christchurch from Wellington on Tuesday night by ferry and motor transport. It was distributed yesterday mainly in Canterbury but some had gone to Southland. A consignment of wettable powder had also arrived at Auckland by air from Germany and after repacking in Wellington would be available in Canterbury early next week. Mr Moore said that these supplies should relieve the demand.
