Quality of life

Sir,—The Environment Fund’s criteria for judging quality of life seems to me to be very narrow. New Zealand was placed ninth, but I think if factors like climate, low density of population, variety of scenery and isolation from things like pollution and excessive urbanisation were taken into account, our country would be ranked first.—Yours, etc V. F. WILKINSON. November 13, 1981.
